C&G – Portraits
C & G are two young ladies who were a delight to photograph. They have enthusiasm for life, for their dog, and for each other. Is this a girl thing? My boys do not get along this well! It was a pleasure shooting them!

I spent an afternoon with a wonderful high school senior to be, Dante. I am always amazed at how mature, complex, interesting, and fun some teenagers can be. (I am certain I was not like that at her age!) She was very much the pro and we got some great images.

Leslie and Joe’s engagement shoot, which took place at Burke Lake Park, presented me with a unique situation because the soon-to-be bride expressed a distinct reluctance to be in front of the camera. I was curious to see how such hesitancy would play out and was pleased to find that there was a bond between the couple that compensated for what could have been a photographer’s worst nightmare. I had no problems shooting this couple whose connection and shared sense of humor outweighed any challenges that might be associated with a camera-shy model. I look forward to shooting their wedding. There is a natural balance and fun loving energy between Lesley and Joe which guaranties a fun event and the images to remember it by.

I had a chance to spend a few hours with Theresa and Andrew at Breaux Vinyards. They where an absolutely lovely couple to spend an afternoon with; granted a very hot afternoon. They demonstrated a unique ease both with one another and in front of the camera. I’m sure the bottle of wine they where leisurely enjoying set against the backdrop of a mountainside vineyard didn’t hurt, but in truth it was their innate talent and complete comfort with one another that made photographing this couple an enjoyable and fun experience. It seems apparent from just a few hours that their union will be an event that holds the same ease and intimacy; and such events are always a pleasure to be apart of.

Rachel and Jarett live in NYC and traveled down to DC for their engagement shoot. We spent a beautiful day exploring the Jefferson Memorial. This is one of my favorite spots as the amazing columns provide a unique setting and it is easy to take advantage of the shadows cast within the memorial.
