Condon Wedding – Dumbarton House, Georgetown, Washington, D. C.
Leslie and Joe were married at the Dumbarton House in Georgetown. The ceremony took place in the garden which presented a wonderfully intimate setting. After the service I had a chance to photograph the couple on the grounds and to further explore the potential of the beautiful outdoor spaces. I had no problem capturing the easygoing and loving dynamic that Leslie and Joe share. They were completely relaxed and enjoying every moment of their day together which always makes my job fun and a whole lot easier. The reception was held at Sequoia located a few blocks away with a wonderful view overlooking the Potomac River. It didn’t take long for the group to get dancing and they sure knew how to keep the party going. The ceremonial “cutting of the cake” was delayed because everyone was having such a great time on the dance floor. (That is not something you see often). I was delighted at the couple’s spontaneous decision to head down to the outdoor pavilion for a celebratory drink and of course I couldn’t resist taking the opportunity for a water front shoot. If this wedding is any reflection of Leslie and Joe’s life together they are in for an absolutely fantastic time. I wish them all the best.
