George Mason University is considered by many to be an excellent school with a beautiful campus.  My neighbor’s son goes there and loves it.  I however, still hold a grudge against them for beating my beloved University of Connecticut to make the college basketball Final Four.  Some scars take a long time to heal…..  When Karen and David told me their wedding and reception were going to be held at George Mason I had to get over it.  (UConn winning their 3rd National Championship this season helped a lot!)  I have to admit, it is a very nice school.

The ceremony was held at a chapel on campus.  No matter how many times I see a 2 year old flower girl panic as she walks down the aisle I still love it!  The cuteness factor is off the charts.  After a wonderful ceremony, Karen and David showed me around the campus and we got some great shots.  (There a small statue to commemorate the Final Four appearance.  Go Mason!)

The reception was held at hotel banquet facility right on campus; The Mason Inn Hotel & Conference Center.  It was a normal, fun reception until the DJ played “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice and suddenly the groom and his brothers “got a little sideways”.  It had to be seen to be believed but the party was now cranked up and rolling.  Good times.
