Meaghan shot the wedding of Paula and Jim at The Inn at Little Washington. It was a beautiful intimate affair with just their daughters present.

The Carter family can hold claim to be the oldest wine makers in Virginia. Documentation proves that their ancestors grew grapes and made wine in 1762. While the current location, the Phillip Carter Winery, and the vines do not date to the mid 1700’s, its a great connection to the past. Tania and Dave were married at this wonderful facility earlier this summer. A constant threat of rain caused us to change the original plan of an outdoor ceremony but they were able to have a “first look” moment in the vineyard. The couple then exchanged vows privately in a touching moment that I was lucky enough to witness. The bride was determined to do some pictures on the property so we put on our rain boots and grabbed umbrellas. Fortunately the rain let off enough to get some great shots. After a moving ceremony we took advantage of a spectacular sunset for a few more images.

I have a new favorite venue! Tatyana and Michael were married at the Oxon Hill Manor. A gorgeous historic mansion surrounded by beautiful gardens and a large lawn with a wonderful view. This facility is what many others in the area try to be. Historic, well preserved, and friendly to weddings.
