Robert Holley Photography

I have some friends who formed a band called Shadows and Ghosts and they were playing at the Velvet Lounge recently.  I had never seen them play and thought it would be fun to photograph their show.  A brief consultation with the founding member educated me on the image they are developing.  I am always excited about requests to be as creative as possible with photography.  The band played great and the guys seemed to have a fantastic time.  I loved the way the photos came out!

I took the boys to an old car show in Leesburg a few weeks ago.  I just love all the design elements that they used to put in cars.

Once in a while I get to work with a really outstanding assistant.  Its not that hard to be a great assistant, you just have to have a desire to learn photography.  Dave Richards was a sponge.  He worked hard for me and learned as much as he could.  Now he is killing it!!  Way to go Dave!  If you find yourself in LA in need of a photographer, Dave is THE MAN.  Check out some of his work.

One of my all time favorite wedding photographs was one of Jordana Hazel and her groomsmen.  I used the cool hats the guys were wearing as a silhouette to Jordana in the background.  When I shot her wedding I knew that she was a very creative person.  She is now applying that ability to her own photography.  She has started to shoot weddings and frankly she is kicking butt!  Check out Hazelnut Photography.  Way to go Jordana!
