Erika and Geoffrey wanted their engagement photos to be taken in Georgetown.  I quickly agreed.  Georgetown is a wonderful spot for walking around and exploring photographic possibilities.  Especially when the last colors of Fall are still on the trees.  We got lucky and had a warm sunny day and made some beautiful pictures.

I am lucky to live close enough to the United States Naval Academy to shoot my share of military weddings.  The pageantry, honor, and sense of purpose in these young men is something to behold.  The Virginia Military Academy graduates gentlemen cut from the same cloth.  Laura and Chris held a wedding this Fall which was full of Chris’s classmates from VMI.  You would be hard pressed to find a group more intelligent and polite then these guys.  It was my honor to play a small part in this event.

We used to have the greatest next door neighbors ever, and were not happy when they moved away.  Friendly, warm, generous, intelligent, the type of people you could always count on.  We have done our best to stay in touch and recently received some great news.  Erin, their daughter is getting married.  I could not be happier.  I had meet Erin’s fiance Ted on a few occasions and always thought they were a good match.  I got a chance to see this in person as we spent a morning together at Great Falls Park exploring and creating some wonderful images.  The wedding is in December and I can’t wait!

Just when you think you have seen it all…….. Razieh and Manouchehr were married at the Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast in Middleburg, VA.  His parents were not able to attend and were stuck in Iran.  Guests took turns holding an Apple laptop connected to the internet through wifi and they “experienced” the wedding also.  Very touching.  It was a gorgeous fall day and we captured some wonderful images.

Megan and Clayton enjoy the outdoors and one of their favorite spots is Bears Den in Bluemont, Virginia.  It was here on a visit last summer that Clayton asked Megan to marry him.  We were lucky to catch the tail end of the Fall foliage and created some fun, silly, and loving images.

Emily and Blake knew they wanted their engagement photos shot at the National Arboretum.  I had never been there but quickly realized why upon seeing the old Corinthian columns from the Capital building.  It was like visiting the Parthenon in Athens Greece.  Blake’s tuxedo and Emily’s dress added another degree of elegance to the event.

The Jefferson Memorial is a great place to shoot an engagement session, but its even better if you can catch some Fall foliage.  Caitlin and Adam timed their session just right.  We got some amazing shots with gorgeous leaves, but the reality is that it is hard to take a bad picture of these two.  As I was showing my wife the finished images she proclaimed “Wow!  They are a good looking couple!”  I could not agree more.
